Our approach

The goal of AMEND is to facilitate a better home building experience for the customer and the builder. We value honest communication so that everyone clearly understands the goals and expectations of each project. At AMEND we love to build; we enjoy seeing progress made towards achieving concrete goals. We want to build your project to the best specifications that we can. We understand that good design is the best path to achieving great results. Thoughtful planning and design are critical to seeing the project vision come to life.  We take a hands-on approach to everything we do. This approach allows us to develop the design in a way that allows an effective construction process. We see design/build as a valuable way to improve every project we take on. We strive to make every project better, to improve, to AMEND.

Our Team

Our team consists of talented builders and designers, and as part of our goal to have an integrated design process we consult with knowledgeable subcontractors that contribute to the success of each project. We strive to bring our subcontractors and all stakeholders together early in the design phase. Their expertise, ideas, and solutions add value to our designs that we are grateful to have. The customer, designer, builder, and subcontractors all help to improve the process, improve the design and improve what we build.

Origin of a name

“On a random Saturday morning before breakfast my two-year-old daughter (now 6!) and I were playing with refrigerator magnet letters. She was saying the letters for the first letter of her name, her siblings’ names, M for mommy, and D for daddy. The five letters were laid in front of us and as they moved into different combinations, I recognized the word AMEND on the floor in front of us. I realized this could be the name for the company. AMEND means to make better, to improve. What better name for a company with a goal of focusing on high-performance, energy efficient design and construction.”
